Lisa Afflitto began her clinical social work career in 2016 after many years as a special education teacher. She found her passion for working with individuals with chronic health conditions while working at Morristown Medical Center where she became the Mental Health Coordinator of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center in 2017. Lisa established her private practice in 2018, and decided to focus on her background in special education and chronic health conditions to establish her specializations. Lisa is extensively trained in both general Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and ACT for chronic pain. She also incorporates ACT into her sessions with neurodivergent adults.

Lisa also facilitates the Caregiver Support Group at the JCC of Central NJ. This group is designed to support parents/caregivers of children and adult with unique medical or developmental challenges.

*Coming soon- Lisa will be completing a training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy in February of 2025 (more info to come).
